I am happy to announce that the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) extended the Area Eligibility Waiver and Schools are now allowed to begin operating the Summer Seamless Program again. This means that all children 1-18 years of age may begin receiving a  FREE breakfast and lunch meal even if they are not enrolled in the School District. The waiver has been extended through the end of the year or until funds run out. All children may begin receiving meals on Tuesday September 8th.

Meals continue to be delivered by bus routes to the Rio Lucio, Chamisal, Ojito, El Valle, Penasco, Llano, Rodarte, Santa Barbara, and Vadito areas. The Ojo Sarco and Las Trampas area meals are delivered on a smaller school vehicle.Picuris Pueblo still continues delivering meals in the Pueblo. The Penasco Cafeteria Site also remains open from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. for meal pick ups. Deliveries begin at 10 a.m. and are completed by 11:45 a.m. Double meals are delivered on Thursday's to cover Thursday and Friday.
