I hope this message finds you and your family well. I just wanted to take a minute to inform you of some things happening in food service this month. The Peñasco School District will be closed Wednesday November 25th and Thursday November 26th for the Thanksgiving Holiday. Although the District will be closed, we are still going to ensure that breakfast and lunch meals for the week are delivered to our children before the Holiday. Please note that starting Monday November 23rd the food service department will begin distributing the meals for the children to enjoy during the Holiday break. By Tuesday November 24th, all meals for the week will have been delivered to our families and there will be no more deliveries until Monday November 30th. It is important that families pick up meals Monday November 23rd and Tuesday November 24th to ensure they receive all meals for the remainder of the week. It would be a good idea to have a box or extra help with you on these two days while picking up meals as they will be big deliveries.
I would also like to inform our families that on Thursday November 19th the food service staff will be sending out a delicious Thanksgiving lunch.
Please remember that we need to keep our staff and our families safe, so it is important to wear a mask while picking up meals.
