NOTICE from PowerSchool regarding cyber breach:
Many New Mexico school districts received notice last week from PowerSchool that a cyber breach may have leaked confidential information about their students and employees. The cloud-based platform, which supports over 60 million students and has over 18,000 educational customers worldwide, suffered a breach that exposed names and addresses of students and educators and, in some cases, more sensitive information like Social Security numbers, medical information, and grades.

The Peñasco Independent School District hosted the NMSBA Region II Meeting on Monday, September 16, 2024 and it was a success. We would like to to thank our culinary arts students and Chef for preparing and serving the food, our custodial and maintenance staff for their assistance in setting up and taking down the event, the students who recited the pledge in English and Spanish, the students that recited their ode poems and the Tiwa students that danced the basket dance. Also, a big thanks to the NM School Boards Association and all the Region II board members and guests who attended.
